ABrooklynLife goes Jewish!

Happy 5766. I think I may have attended the prototypical non-orthodox New Yorkish Jewish New Year dinner. I supped with a Southerner, a Russian-Jewish-Canadian-American, a Polish-German-American, a German, a Californian and me (a Michigan-Ohio-Pennsylvania-Atlanta-Brooklynite). I learned that mostly sweet dishes are to be served on the day, and that's just fine with me. We feasted on apples dipped in honey, honey-almond chicken, roasted potatoes, carrots and pineapple, green beens (everyone needs a little something green),  honey cake and apple cake.  Plus lots of great wine.
