Red Hook: November 2006 Archives
Harry from Schnack has let the burger out of the bun--Schnack's white buns are back! You may remember the furor that broke out when it was revealed that the wheat buns were here to stay, but the good folks at Schnack have reconsidered and now plan to offer the little Schnackies on your choice of white or wheat. As always, the triples and quads are only available on white.

A new jewelry store opens this weekend in Red Hook: Erie Basin on Van Brunt Street. The fun thing about the store is that owner Russell Whitmore sells antique jewelry from the 1830s to 1940s alongside the newer stuff. According to the press release, there's a good selection of items less than $100. The modern designers are Benedicte, Natalia Brilli, R Jewellery, Philip Crangi and Lee Hale. Sounds like a great place to keep in mind for the upcoming holiday gift-buying season.
You can check out the grand opening this Saturday from 6pm to 9pm at 388 Van Brunt Street.
