F Train Critters

| | Comments (1)

Having taken the F train back to my humble abode for more than a year now, I feel that my judgement on strange train sightings is fairly sound. Therefore, I can say with confidence that on Monday night at approximately 1am, between Jay Street and Smith-9th, I saw the strangest thing ever on the subway: a scarlet macaw. (And dammit all, if I had forgotten my camera!) It was sitting on a perch that most people would identify as the extended pull-handle on a piece of luggage. The lovely bird preened itself, stood on one foot, and every once and a while did a little hop to keep its balance. Nothing like seeing a bird going about its business on the F train.

Anybody out there have strange subway sightings to report?
