DUMBO: February 2007 Archives
When I think camp--John Waters, rather than marshmellow roasting--I don't exactly think DUMBO. But the neighborhood is currently hoasting an exhibition of Scopitone films, short movies from the '60s that were like campy, early version of music videos. Though our current video vixens are offering a different shade of camp these days, seeing Dionne Warwick roll on around on a shag rug to "Walk on By" sounds like a fun field-trip to me. The exhibition runs through March 4th at the d.u.m.b.o. Arts Center.
