Even with the Court Street pet store closing, the neighborhood is not lacking for pet stores, at least not Beastly Bites. Still, when I can, I make the treck over to Love Thy Pet on Union, between Henry and the BQE, which has the world's friendliest bunny. I used to have a bunny named Oreo (God rest his rabbit soul). And while Oreo was a friendly enough chap, this bunny has a personality all bunnies should aspire to: He absolutely loves to get his head scratched and he's sooo soft.

When I went into Love Thy Pet this weekend, I found a new store occupant, a rescued kitty who would probably bear more of a passing resemblance to a certain Winston were he not growing out his hair. If you're wondering why this cat is all head, it's because it has a humungeous head. So CUTE! And a good reminder to love thy pets.
