Brooklyn Restaurant Week/Dine in Brooklyn 2008
Brooklyn never does a stellar job of advertising its Restaurant Week, which is why I usually realize it's about to happen when the bus stop advertisement goes up on Court Street and 3rd Place.
The $23 three-course deals run from March 24 to 31. To see the complete list, check out the borough's site.
A few of my recommendations in the area:
Lunetta
Chestnut
Crave
Korhogo 126
Petite Crevette
Applewood
Blue Ribbon
Zenkichi (Williamsburg)

Mmm. So how exactly does it work - is it lunch and dinner or just dinner? Do you recommend reservations?
Go to the website to see which is doing lunch dinner or both. You def. want to make reservations where you can and it doesn't hurt to say restaurant week reservations.
I disagree regarding your comment on the Dine In Brooklyn promotion. Full page ads listing participating restaurants appeared in the New York Times and Daily News on March 12 and 19. This weeks issue of TimeOut New York, again full listing of participating restaurants. Local papers, Courier Life, Brooklyn Eagle, Home Reporter, Brooklyn View. All had full page ads listing participating restaurants.
What, no Prospect Heights?
Bad news for prospect heights, your neighborhood didn't even make the official website list.
HOW CAN I GET MY RESTAURANT TO PARTICIPATE IN RESTAURANT WEEK? I WOULD LOVE TO BE PART OF THIS.
First step, back off on the ALL CAPS. I think that's a good question though. I guess you could contact the office of the borough president to start.
I wanted to go to Applewood but they were booked and I'm usually too hungry to wait around :) I went to 12th Street Bar and Grill instead and it was a good meal. Got to get to that Applewood though. I've only heard good things!
ps - love your blog. food, brooklyn, kitties... I'm sold.
