Smash-up at Marco Polo
So, wasn't there to see what happened, but a police car and another car appear to have collided at the intersection of Court Street and Union Street in Carroll Gardens, propelling one car to smash into the side of Marco Polo (the little atrium). Hopefully there wasn't anyone on the sidewalk when this happened. Anybody there to witness?
Another view. Too bad the iPhone can't zoom.

just saw this up the block from me and was wondering what was going on...although not wondering enough to walk up one block and see for myself. i, too, hope no one was hurt.
We were in the silver car that the cop car ran into. We are a little bruised but fine and the cops are fine but want to know if anyone has any other pictures. We have a couple names of people that are witnesses but would love other names too.
Thanks,
Annemarie
I just found this site by Googling for information on what happened. I was walking up Court to catch the B71 at Court/Union for the 5:06 bus. Saw the wreckage and emergency vehicles but ducked out quick. There were so many ambulances that I feared something huge went down and didn't want to witness carnage. I did see a lot of people taking a lot of pictures. Jeez, I would probably check Flickr!
I walked past Court/Union this morning. That intersection still stinks from the wreckage.
Good to hear that no one got banged up too bad. As I walked down Union I kept seeing more ambulances and police cars speeding the wrong way down the street to the accident site!
Wondering on updates about this incident...
