So Long Hill Diner, Hello Miriam
Looks like the Hill Diner's more fancy menu didn't stick with the neighborhood, and now 229 Court Street will be going Mediterranean in the form of Miriam. Here's what Chowhounders have to say about the Park Slope location.

This kind of stinks. Hill Diner was one of my favorite weekend brunch spots. They had really great hollandaise!
Same owners, so maybe they'll keep the brunch!
Not surprised. I think the food and the service went downhill. Also they had a lunch menu but refused to serve lunch items on the weekends, even in late afternoon. Sometimes at 3 PM I just don't want eggs or pancakes.
I enjoyed their burgers, but not much else.
I tend to think of the name switch and slight food switch as the death knell of a restaurant. Shades of Babu Bhatt.
looked like it was open for business today ... let's just hope Miriam is a better neighbor than Hill Diner/Restaurant and doesn't leave it's leaking trash bags all over the crosswalk. I liked the Hill but found it's disregard of the pedestrian really rude and, well, stinky.
Went there for brunch yesterday. Was tasty, but there were definitely some service issues. Was hard to get menus, and we had to practically grab our food as it flew by toward another table. Hopefully, they'll get that all worked out.
Oh, and dinner prices are expensive.
