I love one-act plays. While I don't mind spending three hours in a theater for Tony Kushner or Tom Stoppard, they're the exception rather than the rule. The average living playwright can usually just pull off an hour or so of great material--a perfect amount of time for one genius act. So I was happy to hear about the Impact Theater in Prospect Heights, which in the middle of a two-week showcase of new one-act plays. Tickets are $15 ($12 for students and seniors).
