Almost New Restaurant Alert: Jessie's Brooklyn Kitchen
Glad to see the old Viola space at 220 Smith Street showing new life, but what is up with the chef drawing for the replacement spot, Jessie's Brooklyn Kitchen? It took me and La Penguina several sober minutes to decipher exactly where the head was in this line drawing. Are we slow, or is it a bit obtuse?

Hope that place is good. Viola had some great gnocchi.
Fingers crossed that this new place will be good. That corner seems to be a bit cursed for food. In the ten years I have lived near that intersection, it's never really had a stable... anything there.
(wasn't it a chinese place pre-2K?)
Viola was fine for dinner, (and a bit off topic) but we had the world's worst brunch there.
Four of us. They brought our meals out one at a time with a ten minute span of time between them. Somehow they then forgot the last person's meal and offered them a slice of tiramisu instead.
It was hilariously sad.
