Domo Arigato, Charity Rock Show

520044_1 Ticket prices at the Hook always seem a little too high. I don't mind trekking down to see a band I've never heard of for, say, $5 (and plenty of purchased beer), but the baseline entry fee seems to be 10 bucks. That said, the space is massive, and I guess they have to pay the bills somehow. Tonight,  however, there's a charity rock show that seems well worth it. Proceeds go to fight Lou Gehrig's disease. The line-up:
8:20 Idle Chatter
8:40 Brass Trax
9:00 The Hit List
9:20 The Shirts
9:45 John Pinamonti
10:05 Out of Order
10:25 Kitchenrocks
10:45 The Secrets
11:05 Zeke Carey Band
11:25 Liza & Wonder Wheels
11:45 iXnay
12:05 The Brians

Then, tomorrow night, in a case of serious whiplash, is Styx. Yes, THAT Styx. Tickets are $80, though it's apparently some sort of charity show as well.

Kilroy Was Here was actually the first cassette I bought. I was so much more intrigued by the idea and the video than any of the actual music.

I would hope that it was for charity. $80 to see Styx?
