Subway Reads
I never thought I would relish spending time on the subway. But, when the temperature hits the 90s, well, let's not knock free air conditioning. My fellow travelers out to Long Beach this weekend seemed to agree. We pulled into Beach 90 St and across the platform a group of friends sprawled in beach chairs, sun hats, and swimsuits, books open in their laps. Aah, summer. Books, the beach, and the A train.
If only I'd spied this week's Subway Reads while slathered in sunscreen.

Pulling into Beach 90th Street on the A train on the way to Long Beach? Impossible.
Its not hard, not far to reach, we can hitch a ride to ROCKAWAY beach.
She failed to mention that she had her Bike with her.
I, too, was at Beach 90th in Rockaway this weekend. Rockaway's by far my favorite beach in the city.
it's true. we went to Rockaway, met a very nice man named Frank who sold us a bike, and then went exploring. though we didn't test the surf at Rockaway (choosing instead to cross the bridge), the beach just off the train did look amazing :)
