Brooklyn Pride
My go-to place for Brooklyn T-shirts and sweatshirts is Enamoo on Smith Street, but the other day I wandered down Atlantic Avenue and into Artez'n. Moderately silly name aside, the store stocks some great Brooklyn T-shirts including this new addition to my wardrobe.
I know many people shop at Brooklyn Industries for their Brooklyn-laced goods, but I hesitate to shop there since I looked at the tag in my jacket and found it reads "made in China." I have nothing against making things in other countries, but it just seems wrong to have a Brooklyn-emblazoned piece of clothing made in China.

On a side note, I noticed the other day when I was drinking a Brooklyn Lager that it was actually brewed in Utica, NY. Not exactly in Brooklyn right? Also, the Blue Point Winter Ale, if I'm not mistaken, says that it was brewed in either Maryland or Deleware..
Six Points is definitely brewed in Brooklyn about 1/2 mile from our apartment.
The Coney Island shirt is cute.
They also sell the occasional cool t-shirt (I think I saw one just like that one) at the beach shop around the corner from nathan's across from stillwell ave station. I try to buy there, cause those shops, because even if they don't spell their name dictionary phonetics style, and are kind of awful and overpriced, they are after all the local merchants. If you want Coney Island to stay Coney Island you can't let the Disneyfiers bump them out. (They eventually WILL, and all you'll have left is Disney stuff and pricey artsyfart artisanal stuff eventually. But I like to give the tacky old places a hand).
Newyorkette is slowly coming out of the closet as a Brooklyn fan!
I love the shirt... I saw some Coney Island shirts in the window of Artez'n on the way to work the other day and thought they were super cute.
My wife and I both got great Coney Island t-shirts at the last mermaid parade last summer. There's a small store on the boardwalk that has cute and original mermaid themed CI t-shirts. I'll have to take pictures one of these days, 'cause they're pretty awesome.
A'right, a'right. I'm outted. You know we all love what we can't have.... Happy now?
