Cats and Squirrels

| | Comments (8)

We knew Winston liked watching squirrels outside of our apartment window, but turns out he's equally as excited about watching them on TV. The Charlie and the Chocolate Factory DVD contains some special features about squirrel training that turned into an exercise in kitty madness.

The larger-than-life squirrel menaces, and the fierce jungle kitty patiently waits.

A second predator looms in the foreground. Will it distract Winston from his dangerous mission of squirrel annihilation?

Squirrel2

Winston will not have his squirrel find encroached upon, and he smacks away his opponent with a swift blow.

Now that he's all alone, Winston goes in for the kill.

My cat, Leroy, watches TV ALL THE TIME. As in he will literally sit stationary in front of the television for hours at a stretch, staring at it. The weird thing is, he doesn't care what's on the screen, he is fascinated regardless.

i love how winston is totally living out the bad-ass-ness of his skull-n-crossbones collar. hahahah!

Yep, that's why we got him that collar in the first place.. He is a rescued Brooklyn street cat and his wild side shows every once in a while.

i have a rescued brooklyn street cat (well, she's still kind of a kitten actually) and man is she wild. she also likes to watch Tv. Maybe she's a distant relative of Winston and this tv-watching thing runs in the family? Or maybe the feral colonies have more of a hunting instinct still? I found her in front of the poultry slaughterhouse down on Columbia street, so I named her "chicken." she also likes sending instant messages.
