A Shopping Cart Full of Fun: The Idiotarod

This weekend's not-to-miss event kicks off at either 2 or 2:30pm on Saturday, Jan. 28, at Monster Art Space in Williamsburg and involves idiotic behavior, shopping carts, heavy drinking, and lots of costumes. Yep, it's the 2006 Idiotarod, and here's hopping it's just as silly as last year's race where ABrooklynLife saw pregnant ladies, whole gaggles of indecently dressed folks, the Faithful, the unfaithful, octopuses, pirates, and a lot of unidentified monsters.   The event is free for spectators and if you want to see who came out on top, you can catch up with the teams at about 8pm at Tonic, when prizes are awarded and more drinking, dancing and mayhem occurs.
