Happy Halloween 2005
Abrooklynlife was at the Village Halloween Parade representing in full cowgirl regalia. Always lovely to be reminded just how resourceful New Yorkers can be when put to the Halloween test.
Worst Costume: iPod (five, count them, five)
Best Costume: the couple dressed as the American Gothic still life, with painting as backdrop
Most Revealed Body Parts: butt cheeks
Most Interesting Use of Pasties: butterflies
Strangest Costume: toilet
Worst Parade Participant Behavior: talking on cell phones

What??? You write "A Brooklyn Life" and write about the Village parade? Go back to Manhattan. We have several well established and fun parades/scenes right here. Garden Place in the Heights is amazing, both for decorations and celec sightings. Cobble Hill Park is great family fare, and the one in Park Slope is good and HUGE.
