Trader Joe's to Brooklyn?
According to the New York Daily News. Plus a renewed promise that there really is a Whole Foods opening in Park Slope. [via Brownstoner]

Now if we only had something like that within (reasonable) walking distance . Our local Key Foods is pathetic.
whoo-hoo. if whole foods winds up at 3rd & 3rd, that'll be walking distance to me. but a trader joes is the holy grail as far as i'm concerned. i don't need super-expensive organic food. i just want clean, interesting, affordable food that isn't disgusting. oh, and the perky service at trader joes is nice too.
I'm jealous.. If we cook anything gourmet or slightly unusual, I take the B75 up to Garden of Eaden in Brooklyn Heights.
This summer I tried to find buttermilk for pancakes and everytime I went to Key Foods, the milk was spoiled.
I live in Cali and I'm moving to NY. I wouldn't shop any were but Trader Joes & Whole foods. I love Trader Joes becuase it's less expensive then the regular market and the food is 100% better in taste and quality. Not to mention the customer service is a breath of fresh air. Different from most customer service in this country, you could actually call it customer service. As for Whole foods, it is over price, but there quality is the best and they offer the kind of salad bar and deli to keep you excited about your next meal.
I hope I can find these luxeries in the big City.
