Brooklyn Industries on Smith Street
No need to travel to Park Slope for a Brooklyn Industries T-shirt. Cobble Hill/Boerum Hill/Carroll Gardens is getting its own store soon, very soon. How soon? According to a clerk at the Park Slope location, they're shooting for the end of the month. The store is on the corner of Smith and Atlantic.

Nice, I was just thinking to myself, "self, maybe you need a new messenger bag. Maybe one from Brookyln Industries." That's pretty good timing!
I say big deal. I was a fan of the store at first until I discovered that their clothes are overpriced and under-quality. I bought a winter coat there that will ultimately last about two months. So a jacket that is falling apart with no stitching, zipper or interior pocket. Great. Tried to return it and they have a strict return policy. Would advise anyone looking to buy more than hats and t shirts to just pony up the cash on a reliable brand.
You might be the special case. We've had a BI jacket that has lasted well for 2 seasons now. I do think people should know that the jackets aren't made in Brooklyn, they're made in China with all the other clothes on your back. (and everything else in your apartment)
I bought some gray pants there because I was seduced by the inside lining. Only after I got home did I realize I liked nothing else about them. But I can't really blame them for that, can I?
